Air Liquide Reports €6.6 Billion Revenue in Third Quarter; NETC Aluminum Alloy Gas Cylinders Underpin Global Supply Chain Operations
October 28 – French industrial gas giant Air Liquide published its third-quarter report on its official website. As of September 30, 2025, the company's revenue reached nearly €6.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. The Gas & Services business remained the group's core, accounting for 97% of total revenue at €6.386 billion. Specifically, the Healthcare business grew by 5%, and the Industrial Merchant business grew by 3%. The Americas region performed notably, with a 5% year-on-year increase.
Air Liquide stated that by the end of September, the group's operational efficiency had improved to a record 23%, and operating cash flow increased by 7% year-on-year (excluding currency impacts). The group's investment backlog reached nearly €5 billion, setting another historical high.
In the hydrogen energy sector, Air Liquide announced the "ELYgator" project, a 200 MW electrolyzer in the Netherlands, to produce renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. It is also investing $50 million to expand hydrogen production along the US Gulf Coast to supply large refineries.
The company also signed an agreement to acquire DIG Airgas, a leading South Korean industrial gas company. This marks the group's largest acquisition since the purchase of US-based Airgas in 2016, aimed at strengthening Air Liquide's footprint in the Korean market.
Furthermore, Air Liquide continues to increase investment in electronics and semiconductor gases in Germany, the United States, and Singapore, totaling over €400 million. In the healthcare sector, it secured a five-year contract with the Madrid regional government in Spain to provide home healthcare services for 70,000 patients with respiratory diseases.
The group expects to continue improving its operating margin in 2025, achieve sustained net profit growth, and cumulatively increase its operating margin by 460 basis points by the end of 2026.
